This kata is often known by a variety of different names, all meaning roughly the same. This kata is another kata that is not recognised by the Kodokan - but understandably so as it is a 'reply' to Kano's Nage-no-kata. Created by Mifune, this is another kata demonstrating kaeshi-waza, for all the non-sacrificial techniques in the nage-no-kata plus the techniques that Mifune believed to be omitted from Kano's kata. The kata is split in to te-waza (hand techniques), ashi-waza (leg techniques) and koshi-waza (hip techniques). Notice that this is also in a different order to the nage-no-kata.
